Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing code.live (“Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

code.live computes a hireability score for software developers based on their public GitHub activity. Scores are made available to developers and, where permitted, to companies who have obtained access.

3. Accounts and Access

Access is invite-only. You must have a valid invite code to create a developer account. Company accounts are provisioned manually.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must not share your account or invite codes in ways that violate these Terms.

4. GitHub Data

We use GitHub OAuth to read your public GitHub activity. We do not request write permissions and do not modify your GitHub data.

By connecting GitHub, you grant us permission to read and analyze your public repositories and activity to compute your score.

5. Scores and Accuracy

Scores are computed algorithmically from public data. They are indicative signals, not guarantees of employability. We make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of any score.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Attempt to game or manipulate your score artificially
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the platform in bulk
• Use the Service to discriminate unlawfully against developers
• Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours

7. Intellectual Property

The code.live platform, scoring algorithms, and all associated content are owned by code.live. Your GitHub content remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to process your public activity to provide the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, code.live is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email.
